The company that makes GE air conditioners has evolved from a one man operation into what is now one of the world’s largest electrical companies. The company was initially formed by Thomas Edison who ran his laboratory business from home.
Of course we know Thomas Edison as being the man who invented the light bulb, but he also was the first person in 1880 to construct a trial electrical railroad measuring 3 miles long at his laboratory site known as Menlo Park.
Over the years of course, since Thomas Edison first set up what is now GE, it has diversified in many different areas. But of course today many people will buy not only GE air conditioners, but other appliances for their homes because they known that these are ones that they can rely on.

Last summer I purchased one of the GE air conditioners that my local appliance store had for sale. It proved very effective at helping to keep temperatures in my apartment down at a more comfortable level. In fact although this GE ASW10AL air conditioner is only a 10,000 BTU unit it cools the whole apartment very efficiently indeed.
Along with it being so reasonably priced, it comes with one of the best energy star ratings I have seen on air conditioners of a similar size. So of course the amount it costs to run is reasonable as well. Installation of the unit was easy and I would recommend this model, or any of the other GE air conditioners available to friends and family.

If you are looking for an inexpensive and lightweight air conditioning unit, that is also relatively quiet then look no further than those made by GE. As you will find when it comes to GE air conditioners they have been designed and built to provide an efficient and economical cooling system for your home.
The one I have fitted in my bedroom is the GE AST05LK air conditioner that helps to keep it cool very well. This is quite surprising when you see the size of the unit. However, I do have a couple of issues with it but these are minor. The first of these being that once I had unpacked it I found that the side pleats needed to be installed by me. But this was fairly easy to do and in around about 20 minutes this one of the GE air conditioners was up and running.
The other issue I have is with regards to the amount of sound it makes when it is being made to run at higher temperatures. But of course after the room has been cooled down I tend to lower the temperature and this one of the GE air conditioners runs through the night without causing my sleep to be disturbed. I am more than happy with this unit and would be happy to recommend it to others.
